Long weekends mean many things, one of the sweetest, almost forgotten about being.... a short work week
after the long, glorious weekend. That is where I stand now, realizing that tomorrow is TGIF baby. This weekend snuck up so secretly, so discreetly, that a plan almost escaped me. After surveying several dear girlfriends and members of kin, I realized that everyone is going out of town (interlude Sublime:
"summertime, and the livin's easy") My AMC is even going out of town to paint a masterpiece mural on a quilting woman's bedroom wall, which I
could go along for, but, what I am thinking of doing is even more adventurous- at least in my mind. I am pondering very seriously going to stay at our cabin..... alone.
AMC and I were just up there last weekend, we left Tuesday morning before work so, actually we were there two days ago. If I go up there Friday after work (alone) that would break several Stewart Cabin records.... 2 weekends in a row, three days apart in visits, first solo visitor EVER- that would be me (and Muttons Conard Kitty of course.) Hmmm.... what shall I do up there at Stewart cabin all by my lonesome? I pulled out my pictures from last weekends visit to wet my whistle...

mountain vista drives. this one shows the timberline, the line of elevation where pine trees in unison say, "that's it! this is as high as I grow!" Even nature has it's boundaries:) |

Deep sigh..... I have to, I must go and experience all that Stewart and the Cache la Poudre River (which means "stash the gunpowder" in French) offers me as a lone traveler. I must also giggle now, because knowing the dramatics of this thought process, I am sure all of the neighbors will be there too- and I'll be alone for all of 30 seconds of the weekend! Bon Voyage!!
