But, teeth are one thing. And trying to enjoy your steak and crab leg feast is another. Oh, so tender---pop, click, clunk.....and these are not Rice Krispies. My jaw clicks. Not everyday, not every week. More when I am stressed (and that never happens!) Sometimes, I can't open my mouth all the way (which is why I write- sometimes talking just can't happen, jk). Sometimes I massage the side of my face where my joint is (not exactly something I can ask AMC to do for me like a back massage, ya know?)
Yesterday, I went to the orthodontist to get the scoop, is this a braces kinda thing? My dentist seemed to think so. While waiting for him, I decided to wash my hands with warm water and the medical smelling soap they use (who fragrances those things?) I had to keep moving for fear I would freeze to the chaise lounge patient chair from the AC. Anyhow, Bryan comes in. I knew it would be Bryan because his certifications from Illinois State from 2005 were all around the room.
Bryan asked me what I am unhappy with about my teeth. And, before opening up any can of worms I had to tell him, "I am getting married on June 21 of next year. If I have to get braces, they have to be off by then, or I am waiting to put them on at all." And all of a sudden, I could hear Carly Simon blasting over the intercom..."You're so vain"...music here. But at least we all knew it.

16-24 months. Not sure if it will fix the problem. Beautiful straight teeth, lots of rubberbands, pretty smile.... Hmmm, worth the gamble?
Magnesium!!! it's a muscle relaxer and will most definitely clear up the popping/sometimes not being able to open mouth all the way. i have the same thing and have been seeing a naturopath for it..cleared it up about 95% ....btw i'm a massage therapist who knew adam in the springs when i was going through school in 2007.
ReplyDeletewow! what wonderful news, thank you!!!! I have to get over to vitamin cottage tomorrow as it is, I will definitely pick up some magnesium. And, thank you for the reminder on vitamins and minerals. A few months back, I was having daily headaches. I learned it was an iron deficiency and with iron pills, they went away. I said then (and almost forgot until your tip) that maybe almost every ailment can be cured, or close to it, with the help of supplements. Our bodies are so smart, maybe if we give them the tools- they will do the work:) thanks again!
