Coach Karl from the Denver Nuggets is coming to my work today to do some business for his Cancer Care Initiative. I'm pretty excited because apparently, he's a pretty fine humanoid.
And speaking of fine humanoids, our generational leader into making technology cool, usable and for things entertainment based (and not just spreadsheet making "work" stuff) has passed along to the stage of being that no one here knows about.  Steve Jobs is a step ahead of us, exploring the dead stage. And for that, I am sad. I am sad mostly because he was such a genius and I will miss seeing what brainchildren he would give life to. I'm sure he had visions for much more (which I pray he shared with his colleagues).
As we've discussed on this post (click here), I am an iphoner, and adore things apple.
I sit at my desk now
staring at my apple screen ( that has a freaking computer inside the screen part!)
with AMC's ipod to my right (happy 10th birthday ipod)
and my white iphone4 to my left (did i tell you i got one? my busted one done and died on me)
Stevie, (do you mind if I call you that?) I'm gonna miss you. I wish I could say something profound that makes you happy about how your life and spirit for living, creating and going for your dreams impacted my life and my future kin. I want to tell you how I will miss your presentations of new cool things (in a magician type way) to play with that allow me to express myself and enjoy this world of art we live in. Thank you for using your energy to advance our world. Thank you for being an example that when you listen to your heart, and put your full mind into things, you create magic. I want to tell you something so you know that your goal of "making a dent in the universe" was reached. I hope I just did, in some small way.
And here is what I would ask Steve Jobs if I could ask anything:
Many people say that you were ruthless. That many of your employees and engineers became estranged from their families, becoming 100% dedicated to their project.
1. Did you have this attitude because it was neccesary to achieve your vision of what could be?
2. Is this attitude towards work imperative in some senses to become a global success?
3. Do you not care what others think so you do what you truly want?
4. If you could relive your life, would you act in the same manner (concerning ruthlessness) again?
xo.
