oh man. every single year i have pipe dreams of the uncle sam sending me thousands and thousands of wonderful dollars as a tax return. well, it didn't happen, try again. $187 back after the turbo tax fees and something like, 'because your middle name is gertrude daisy' fees. in my own revolt of the fact, i'm not writing in capital letters (so take that, you, with the initials I.R.S.) i know, i know, i've heard it every year from those that console me during my heartbreak, "it's better than paying them $187.
bright side: well, at least i have florida money! for, i am scheduled on a plane to fly from denver to west palm beach in 10 days-- spontaneous tropical adventure! i'm going for the grace kelly beach mood:
oops, i forgot that i have dark hair now. sometimes i forget, and then i look in the mirror and i'm like 'oh yeah.' i like it better, having dark hair. i feel like i'm living closer to my whole 1/8 bloodline of lithuanian. where is lithuania anyway? in the baltic region it turns out.

maybe when i'm there visiting, (it's on the life: 'to-do' list) everyone will think i'm a native and will speak to me in lithuanian, which means they'll say:
'Labas rytas' - good morning
'Laba diena' - good afternoon
'Labas vakaras' - good evening
and then i'll politefully respond saying exactly what they said to me. then, i'll keep walking and they'll say to themselves, 'that was a lithuanian person.' and everyone will feel content about this.
bon voyage!
it's 5:37 a.m. and i have to go make chili and cornbread now. it's girls cabin weekend! and so, we're off to the river with rented snowshoes in just a few, little hours.
iki pasimatymo = see you later!
