dear fall, a poem for you.

this morning is a saturday kind. i won't be back at work until after labor day-we're heading to the cabin for a week, the longest we've ever stayed! how i look forward to day after day of waking with no agenda outside of book reading, food cooking, cigar smoking and hobbies of the cabin sort. the river and the birds too.

this labor day time period is one of my favorite times, but i will try not to ramble, been there-done that right here.  it just happens each september, a fall love affair. this morning here i wrote this poem....what the  verge of the new season inspires now.

fall.

being all,
yet to become--
sometimes we must jump.

as the crust off my heart and eyes breaks,
falling away--
something new and tender dwells.

it must be nurtured,
this newness--
for all to be as it shall.

*enjoy your labor day!
