After feeling absolutely drained, dizzy and disoxygenated, my doctor called me into the ER because my blood counts were way too low... thank you UC:)
So.. I made a home for myself in room 455 for a few days at the hospital. Each night nurses would come in as I slept, tie an elastic band around my arm and draw blood out of my arm to test my progress, or so they said.:)
After being "out here" in the world again, feeling like a newborn baby- I look at the trees so bright green and alive and people looking healthy and alive, moving about quickly in the city streets--- that I can't help but wonder if those vampires in the night put something INTO my blood on those night visits, instead of taking it out?
I feel thankful for life again and this change to be incarnate. And I look at people and want to say to them- we're alive! And even more so, we're free! We can do anything, go anywhere we desire. And even if we think we aren't free because of situations we may find ourselves in, the truth is, we are really free in spite of them. All we have to do is choose to change them, leave them behind, or gather a new perspective on them. Situations are only like clouds covering the sun- they can pass quickly and reveal the steadfast sun.
