A Sunday kind of love

So far this weekend, I've been quite the hermit living in my hermitage.  Luckily, AMC has been  equally as hermity and on-board with the do-nothings. Have I/we contracted a virus that opposes social fun? Based on the evidence, it is possible.

-bowling party invite- declined.
-girls dance night- declined.
-girls tarot reading session- declined. (this is really getting serious.)

But don't worry, things were slightly productive.

-I ran a sweaty mile. 1 of them.
-then sat in the steam room 'till all of the scum inside oozed out. (pretty.)
p.s. is it normal to be paranoid that you will get lost in the thick steam, never finding the door?
-and watched The Big Lebowski and 1/2 of a Batman movie (until it got too weird) with ice cream and freshly baked french fries (ok, they were from a bag).

Here's the upside of all of this anti-social activity. Laying low has not only cleaned out my pores, but I feel energy for the day today, this Sunday, day of the Sun.

Here's my deal with Sunday....it's the best, most glorious day of the entire week if, and only if, ONE precept is followed...

stay
in
Sunday.

And since we're on the Buddhist path, here is this quote that I came across on the mess of notes on my desk (don't worry I organized my desk last night while the Batman movie was on- productivity!)

'having no ill will for any living being, in all manners possible for all times, is called ahimsa and it should be the desired goal of all seekers.'

'be in the moment' and 'ahimsa'....tall orders for this mortal, yet worth striving for, nonetheless.

happy day of the Sun, OM and as our dude Plato said, all things good, true and beautiful.

Mutty obviously wants attention (or fancy feast) she came directly between me and the keyboard. So rude. Good thing she's fluffy.
