sandals, sunblock, BBQ's, green mucus cough, swimming pools.... wait a minute, green mucus and coughing does not get to come out and play in the
summertime! no, no, no. but, yes, yes, yes it does for around my office and WHAMO! hello, cold...in June. It's only been like 3 years since I had a dopey cold- why not come in June?

I know, wah wah wah and boo hoo. On the brighter side of the street, one of the most fantastic parts of having a bug in your bod is, your bod wants to relish in being home sweet home. Being cozy and resting in your own abode is the only place to be. And, apparently so too, does our Hoya plant love to be home here to because.... it has BLOOMS on it. This is just delightful because this hoya's flower bloom--- at night! And it smells Exactly how we all imagine the Avatar jungle to smell- yes, that one. This hoya is a real gem, and it has a story! See, once upon a time, this hoya was tended by Grandma Stubbs, who was married to Elmer Stubbs, and this is a painting of him that the AMC did that hangs right above this ye computer where I type. And, we have their hoya and portrait in the 301 because they belong to AMC as grandparents. Anyhow, this hoya was flat out dying. We are talking last leg. And sweet as a coconut pie Grandma Stubbs got STERN. She shook her finger at this hoya and said, "if you don't get growing, I'm gonna throw you out!" And you know what that hoya did, and continues to do today? It got full and green and bloomed Avatar flowers! So, Grandma Stubbs loved it, kept it and shared 1 leaf from this plant with every single person in her family. So, we all have one now. And, this is the week out of the year that it is blooming. Now, what a perfect week to rest on the couch and recuperate from a green mucus cough!

And, to keep the Avatar flowers company....welcome home Basil, Cilantro and Parsley. We have a mini city garden!
Morale of the story---plants have feelings too. Talk to them:)
